The Kraff Eye Institute is located in Chicago, with a downtown office and a northwest office on Harlem Ave. We serve the Chicagoland area, northwest Indiana, and Wisconsin. Our five doctors are highly experienced and professional and will give you top-quality vision and eye care.
Both of our Kraff Eye Institute offices offer LASIK, IntraLase, and PRK for vision correction. If you are not a good candidate for LASIK, IntraLase or PRK would almost certainly be good procedures for you. Kraff Eye Institute also offers eye surgeries, pediatric ophthalmology, and treatment of a range of eye diseases.
We are a forward-looking eye care practice and both Dr. Manus Kraff and Dr. Colman Kraff have long been involved in developing new procedures and techniques. We place a high priority on patient education and will always be happy to answer your questions.
Our Doctors
Manus C. Kraff, M.D. Dr. Manus Kraff is the Founder and President of the Kraff Eye Institute and specializes in cataract and refractive surgeries. Dr. Kraff also specializes in the Visian Implantable Colamer lens, for people who are not LASIK candidates and was part of the initial FDA investigational study dating back to 1998. He has an extensive list of scientific publications and has been giving high-profile ophthalmology lectures for over twenty years. In November 2009, Dr. Kraff will receive the Benjamin Rush Award for Citizenship and Community from the American Medical Association for his work in providing no-cost refractive surgery for 200 military personnel who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan since 9-11. |
Colman R. Kraff, M.D. Dr. Colman Kraff specializes in refractive and cataract surgeries. He has long been a pioneer in laser vision correction and was the first Chicagoland physician to successfully use the VISX excimer laser, working with the FDA clinical trial team. |
William Lissner, M.D. Dr. Lissner has been serving the Chicagoland area since 1976 and specializes in medical ophthalmology. He has extensive experience in corneal diseases, cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and much more. |
Cheryl Kraff-Cooper, M.D. Dr. Kraff-Cooper specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology. Among her many professional memberships is one on the Associate Board of the Chicago Lighthouse, which serves blind people and anyone visually impaired, of any age. |
Caryn Orlin-Kraff, M.D. Dr. Orlin-Kraff is one of the few female retinal surgeons in this country. She specializes in eye tumors, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. |
